Pricing & Payment

How much are RV sites?

Water & Electric: $45/night, $35/night for 2+ nights, $210/week, $560/month

Full Hookup: $65/night, $55/night for 2+ nights, $330/week, $720–$800/month

Vigo County residents: $400/month

Sites include 30 AMP or 50 AMP service (each site is one or the other). Monthly and seasonal camping must be booked by phone.

How much is primitive tent camping?

$25/night, $20/night for 2+ nights, $120/week. Rates include up to 4 people per site. Additional guests are $5/person/night.

How much is the day guest pass?

$5 per person. Children 5 and under are free. Most guests pay upon arrival at the gate.

Do you offer season passes?

Yes! Season day passes are available:

  • $59 for up to 3 people in the vehicle
  • $99 for up to 5 people in the vehicle
Do you have seasonal camping rates?

$560/month includes water and electric. Full hookup is $720/month. Honey wagon service is $20 per use. Vigo County residents: $400/month.

Do you accept credit cards or tap to pay?

Yes, we accept cash, credit cards, debit cards, and tap to pay. Credit card payments do have a processing fee.

Can I prepay for people I’m inviting to a party?

Yes! It’s $5 per person, children 5 and under are free. Most guests simply pay upon arrival at the gate.

What’s included in the nightly camping rate?

Your nightly rate includes swimming in the roped-off beach area and fishing. You also get access to the lake, boat ramp, dog park, playground, restrooms with showers, and live music events.

Kayak/canoe/paddleboard rentals and the water park inflatables cost extra.

What is the cancellation policy?

Camping: Cancel 7+ days out for 100% refund. 3–7 days for 50% refund. Less than 3 days, no refund.

Rentals: Cancel 14+ days out for full refund. 7–13 days for 50% refund. Less than 7 days, no refund. No-shows forfeit full amount.

Processing fees are non-refundable.

Do you have any promotions or discounts?

We offer a Vigo County resident discount for monthly RV stays at $400/month.

RV Camping

Are all your sites full hookup?

All sites include water & electric hookups with 30 AMP or 50 AMP service (each site is one or the other). Full hookup (sewer) is available on a limited basis — call ahead to check availability. Call (812) 533-1562.

Are you big rig friendly?

Yes! We have spacious back-in sites that welcome rigs 40+ feet. Mostly level gravel pads.

Do you have a dump station?

Yes, we have an on-site dump station for self-service. We also offer honey wagon service for $20 per use.

Do you allow golf carts?

Yes, golf carts are permitted. There is a daily or monthly fee.

Can I bring my side-by-side or UTV?

Side-by-sides may be parked at your campsite or in guest parking. They are allowed on gravel roads only — not on trails.

What amenities are at each campsite?

Most sites include a fire pit and picnic table (E section sites E1–E16 do not have picnic tables). 30 AMP or 50 AMP electrical service (each site is one or the other), water on all sites, and limited full hookup (sewer). Access to restrooms with hot showers, the beach, boat ramp, dog park, playground, and all campground amenities.

Rentals

Do you have RV rentals?

Yes! We have three on-site RV rentals, fully set up and ready to go:

  • Site D14: Two queen beds, living room, bathroom, and kitchen
  • Site D15: Four twin bunks and a queen bed
  • Site D12: Twin bunks, two fold-out twin seats, and a queen bed

$125/night (2-night minimum), $600/week, $1,800/month. Up to 4 people included; extra guests $10/night. Pets $25/night per pet.

RVs come stocked with plates, cookware, and bedding. You’re only responsible for propane.

Note: We do not allow third-party RV rentals (renting someone else’s RV to bring here) due to overuse and power management issues.

What do the Huts include?

Huts are basic shelters — they don’t have anything inside except one electrical plug for charging your phone or running a fan. Bring your own bedding and supplies.

$45/day, $210/week, $560/month. Each hut covers up to 4 people; additional people $10 each, kids under 5 free. Shared bathhouse access nearby.

How much is the Beach House?

$100 to $300 a night, depending on when you’re booking (seasonal pricing). Lakefront location with full kitchen, bathroom, A/C, covered porch, and lake views. Sleeps up to 6. Linens and towels provided.

Lake Activities & Swimming

Do you have inflatables at the lake? How much do they cost?

Yes! Our inflatable water park is available weather permitting, 7 days a week from Memorial Day to Labor Day, open until dusk.

6-hour float pass: $24/person. Hourly float pass: $8/hour.

A day guest pass ($5) is required in addition to a water park pass. Entry to swim in the beach area is included with your day guest pass.

What is the age and size limit for the water park?

Ages 6–60, minimum height 4 feet, maximum weight 250 pounds. Ages 14 and under must have an accompanying adult (18+). Buoyancy vests are provided and required.

No lifeguard on duty.

What time does swimming open?

Swimming is open 8:00 AM to dusk during the season (Memorial Day through Labor Day). Day guests are welcome from 8 AM to 10 PM (11 PM on Fridays and Saturdays).

Do children need life jackets?

Children under 13 must wear a life jacket at all times while on the water. Life jackets are available on-site. Swimming is only allowed within the roped-off area.

Fishing

Do I need a fishing license?

No fishing license is required at Lazy L Lake — it’s a private lake.

Can I go fishing at the lake?

Yes! Our stocked lake is great for fishing. Bring your gear and enjoy a day on the water.

Can I set bank poles overnight?

Yes! You can set bank poles in the evening and check them the next morning. We just ask that alarms be set to vibrate or turned off to avoid waking other campers.

What live bait do you have on-site?

We carry night crawlers, red worms, and bee moths on-site. For minnows, goldfish, and anything else, visit Lazy L Lake Bait & Tackle at 100 E National Ave, West Terre Haute, IN 47885 — less than 5 minutes away.

Watercraft & Boat Ramp

Can I bring my own kayak or paddleboard?

Yes! Personal kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards are welcome. It’s $5 per person entry fee plus $4 per watercraft launch fee.

How much are kayak and paddleboard rentals?

Kayak: $5–$10/person/hour. Canoe: $5–$10/person/hour. Stand-up paddle board: $10/person/hour. Hydrobike: $10/person/hour.

Can I bring a motorboat?

The lake is idle speed / no wake only. No gas-powered motorboats are permitted. Electric trolling motors are allowed for fishing. Life jackets are required for all watercraft users.

Do you have a spot to hang out, cook out, and go fishing?

Yes! You can hang out on the grounds all day. The lake is open for fishing and boating (idle speed/no wake). Just note that grills cannot be brought onto the beach — cook out at your campsite instead.

Pets & Amenities

Are you pet friendly?

Yes! We have an off-leash dog park and a dog beach. No extra pet fee for primitive tent camping or RV site camping. For RV rentals, pets are $25/night per pet.

Do you provide grills?

We do not provide grills. You’re welcome to bring your own for use at your campsite, but grills are not allowed on the beach. Every campsite has a fire pit.

Rules & Hours

When do you open for the season?

The campground opens April 15 (weather permitting). The season closes October 31.

Swimming and inflatables run Memorial Day through Labor Day.

What are the visiting hours for day guests?

Sunday–Thursday: 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Friday–Saturday: 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM.

All guests must pay the entry fee ($5/person) unless meeting someone at the gate.

What are the quiet hours?

Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

If I’m just picking someone up, do I have to pay the entry fee?

On weekends, everyone must pay the entry fee. However, if you’re just picking someone up, they can meet you at the gate so you don’t need to enter the campground.

Are drones allowed?

Drones are not permitted unless you have special permission from management.

How do I book a band or food truck for the campground?

Our band lineup is planned in advance. If you’re a musician or vendor interested in performing or setting up at Lazy L Lake, follow up in September or October when we plan the next season’s entertainment. Call (812) 533-1562 or reach out on Facebook.
