Campground Rules
Please review and follow all campground rules during your stay. Rules are also posted throughout the property.
Check-in & Check-out Times
- Campers & Huts Check-in: Mon–Sat at 1 p.m., Sun at 2 p.m.
- Campers & Huts Check-out: Mon–Sat at 12 p.m., Sun at 1 p.m.
- RV Rental Check-in: Mon–Sun at 4 p.m.
- RV Rental Check-out: 11 a.m.
Property Boundaries
- Stay south of the power lines at the back of the property.
- Guests must stay out of the farm field.
Children & Conduct
- The conduct of children and visitors is the responsibility of the party paying camping fees.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult and must be with a parent or on their campsite by dark.
- No walking through someone else's campsite.
- No riding bicycles recklessly or after dark.
- No profane language.
- No vandalism of any kind.
Speed Limit & Parking
- Speed limit: 5 mph max. This includes electric bikes and scooters. No dust.
- Car tags: site and date must be visible for Lazy L Lake staff.
- Campsites allow up to 2 vehicles on the gravel. No parking on the grass.
- Additional vehicles must park in the visitor parking area.
Golf Carts
- Allowed for drivers 16 years or older with a valid driver's license.
- Must observe the 5 mph speed limit.
- Total riders must not exceed the cart's designed capacity.
- Golf carts must stay on mowed trails or gravel roads.
- Bring-your-own golf cart fee: $5/day or $20/month. We do not rent golf carts.
- Golf carts and guests must stay out of the farm field and remain south of the power lines.
Side-by-Side Vehicles
- Side-by-sides may be parked at your campsite or in the guest parking area.
- Side-by-sides are not allowed on the trails — only on gravel roads.
Pets
- Must be kept on a leash at all times.
- Owners must clean up pet waste at campsites and while walking.
- Pets must be attended to and must not disturb other campers (including excessive barking).
- Do not tie pets to electrical/water poles or allow them to get wrapped around these poles.
Quiet Hours
- Sunday–Thursday: 10:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
- Friday & Saturday: 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
Alcohol Policy
- Alcohol is allowed but must be in an unidentifiable container.
- This is a family campground — please drink responsibly.
- Public intoxication that causes a nuisance or disturbance will lead to police involvement and ejection from the property.
Campfires
- Campfires are allowed but must be supervised until they burn down completely.
- No cutting down trees or taking wood from the campground.
- Firewood is available for purchase.
- If you bring your own firewood, it must be debarked.
- Do not place or burn trash in campfires.
Prohibited Items & Activities
- No fireworks.
- No outside refrigerators.
- No window A/C units unless properly installed and pre-approved by management.
- No coolers in public areas.
- No clotheslines.
- No illegal substances allowed anywhere on the property.
Visitor Policy & Fees
- All visitors must register at the office before entering the campground and pay the entry fee.
- Primitive campsites and huts must pay the gate fee for entry.
- Day visitors: $5 per person (ages 6+). Free for children 5 and under.
- Overnight visitors: $10 per person (starting at 10 p.m.).
- Visiting hours: 8 a.m.–10 p.m. (11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays). Visitors staying past hours must pay the overnight fee.
- Food delivery (Uber Eats, Grubhub, etc.): Please meet your driver at the front gate to pick up your order.
- Drop-offs: Anyone being dropped off must be met at the gate, or they will need to pay the $5 gate entry fee.
Campsite Occupancy
- Campsite rates include up to 4 people per site (registered at time of reservation).
- Electrical Sites: Additional campers $10/night per person (up to 8 max per site).
- Primitive Sites: Additional campers $10/night per person (up to 8 max per site). Small tents must be close together.
- Huts: Include up to 4 people; additional guests are $10/night per person.
- Picnic tables are not provided at "E" sites. Bring your own if needed.
Trash & Waste Disposal
- Guests must dispose of campsite trash properly.
- Trash must be bagged, and boxes must be broken down before being placed in the dumpster with the lid closed.
- Black or gray water must be disposed of at the dump station.
Campsite Cleanliness
- Guests must keep their areas clean.
- No open containers, batteries, tires, or similar items left outside.
- Small brown tarps are temporarily allowed to cover firewood or chairs during rain.
Long-Term Stays
- Payments must be made on time.
- A late fee of $5 per day will be applied to overdue payments.
Fishing
- No fishing license required (private lake).
- Catch-and-release only.
- Exception: Asian carp and gar may be kept.
- Fishing from the bank, dock, or personal watercraft permitted.
- Bank pole fishing allowed, but alarms must be set to vibrate or off to avoid waking others.
General
- All guests and visitors must follow campground rules, including those posted throughout the property.
- By making a reservation, you agree to abide by all campground rules.
- By paying the gate fee, you agree to abide by all campground rules.
- If you experience any issues, contact management.
- The campground is not responsible for theft, damage, or injuries occurring anywhere on the property, including inflatables, playgrounds, or the lake.
- Management reserves the right to update rules, refuse service, or ask anyone to leave at any time.
Lake Beach & Swimming Rules
The lake and beach are open to all registered campers and day guests. Please follow these safety rules while enjoying the water.
Beach & Swimming Safety
- No lifeguard on duty — swim at your own risk from dawn to dusk.
- Call 911 for emergencies.
- Swimming is only allowed within the roped-off area.
- Children 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
- Pets, profanity, smoking, and alcohol are prohibited on the beach.
- No coolers on the beach (small lunch coolers may be checked for alcohol).
- No glass containers on the beach.
Boat Ramp Rules
Lazy L Lake offers boat ramp access for campers and day guests. Please follow these guidelines when using the boat ramp and lake.
Boat Ramp Access
- Boat ramp available to registered campers and day guests with valid passes.
- Launch fee applies only to boats with motors — kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards launch free.
- Personal kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards are welcome.
- All watercraft must be clean and free of invasive species before entering the lake.
- Park boats north of the ramp to the first red hut.
Watercraft Guidelines
- Idle speed only throughout the entire lake.
- No motorized boats permitted on the lake. Electric trolling motors allowed for fishing.
- Life jackets required for every person on a boat.
- Children under 13 must wear life jackets at all times on the water.
- All boats must be off the water by sunset. Registered campers may stay out after dark with proper lights.
- Boat owners are responsible for insuring their own watercraft.
- Watercraft must be removed from the boat ramp area after launching.
- No wake zones enforced near the swimming beach and water park.
Lake Boundaries
- Do not pull boats into the beach area.
- Do not park or dock boats at a campsite.
- Stay south of the power lines.
- Huts along the lake are private — keep off.
Aqua Park Eligibility
Our inflatable aqua park on the lake is available Memorial Day through Labor Day. Please review these requirements before entering the water park.
Requirements
- Ages 6–60 years old
- Minimum height: 4 feet
- Maximum weight: 250 pounds
- Ages 14 and under must have an accompanying adult (18+)
- NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY
Medical Advisory
Guests with the following conditions are discouraged from using the water park unless approved by a physician:
- Heart disease or hypertension
- Mobility issues
- Back, knee, or hip problems
- Pregnancy

Processing fees are non-refundable. Special event weekends: no refunds.
